England pacer Anderson charged with offence under ICC_s Code of Conduct

New Delhi, July 16 (ANI): England fast bowler James Anderson has been charged under Level 3 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel by India team manager Sunil Dev following an alleged incident that took place on the second day of the first cricket Test at Trent Bridge. The alleged offence has been reported under Article 2.3.3 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel. Anderson has been charged for allegedly abusing and pushing Ravindra Jadeja immediately after they left the field for lunch. It is alleged that this was a continuation of a verbal altercation between Anderson and Jadeja as they were walking from the field. Transgender groups meet to discuss 'third gender' tag on community

Kolkata, July 16 (ANI): Transgender groups in Kolkata held a state level consultative meet to discuss if the tag 'third gender' is acceptable to them or not, and various other issues. The meet, 'Rehabilitation and Welfare of Transgender Community', was chaired by state Social Welfare Minister, Shashi Panja and social activist, Anupam Hazra. Nearly 40 transgender groups and committees attended the meeting and voiced out their feedbacks regarding the Supreme Court ruling for their rights. Gays continue to face a social stigma in India, where hugging and kissing in public, even among heterosexual couples, is strongly frowned upon. Section 377 of Indian Penal Code banned 'sex against the order of nature', and is widely interpreted to mean homosexuality in India and the person committing the Act can be punished with up to 10 years in jail. BJP says wide stakeholder consultations needed for implementation of UCC, politicos react

New Delhi, July 15 (ANI): Political leaders on Tuesday reacted over Law Minster Ravi Shankar Prasad___s written reply to the Lok Sabha that wide consultations with stakeholders will be required before taking any further steps on the issue of uniform civil code. Subramanian Swamy and Yogi Adityanath of the BJP emphasized that the Uniform Civil Code already exists in the constitution in Article 44 but there is a need to discuss and deliberate on the matter with everyone. Swamy added that it is extremely important to have common laws for marriage and inheritance.
