India and Japan to strengthen ties through the medium of cinema

New Delhi, Sept 12 (ANI): India and Japan signed a joint agreement in New Delhi on Thursday to enhance bilateral relations by collaboration of the film industries of the two nations. A conference was held between India's minister of information and technology Manish Tewari and Japanese Minister for Economy, Trade and Industry Toshimitsu Motegi, who is on a visit to India along with a high-level business delegation to boost bilateral trade and investment. Motegi said that co-production in the film sectors of India and Japan has seen a lot of success, which is why they took the initiate to enhance cooperation in this sphere. Meanwhile, Tewari said that the agreement would facilitate bilateral cooperation for private corporations.
