Villagers attack policemen in Birbhum

Birbhum/ Kolkata, Oct 25 (ANI): Villagers in Birbhum district of West Bengal attacked policemen and their vehicle on Friday, while state administration alleges that the attack was politically motivated. The assailants who attacked the police were armed with crude bombs, batons and other arms. The police reportedly fired few rounds in air to disperse the attacking mob. Regional Trinamool Congress Party leader Anubrata Mondal had earlier alleged that the state BJP workers were behind the attack on the police in Birbhum. New Delhi, Oct 23 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday visited Siachen, the world's highest battlefield in Jammu and Kashmir, to spend some time with the soldiers on Diwali. Modi tweeted that "Perhaps this is the 1st time that a PM has got wonderful opportunity of spending time with our Jawans on auspicious day of Diwali." Modi further extended his Diwali greetings to the whole nation from the icy heights of Siachen Glacier.
