New Delhi, Sept 2 (ANI): Love jihad as an idea is gaining more and more credence in Uttar Pradesh. A community in Uttar Pradesh has imposed a ban on the use of mobile phones by school girls in order to save them from falling prey to 'love jihad'. The diktat has been issued by an influential committee of vaishyas, called the Akhil Bharitiya Vaishya Ekta Parishad (ABVEP). While many parties including the Samajwadi Party criticized the decision, parties like Shiv Sena appealed to the government to take more measures to fight 'love jihad'. Sep 2, 2014

Mixed reactions flow as Rajnath says no white flag for Pak if ceasefire continues

New Delhi, Sep 01 (ANI): Mixed political reactions flowed on Monday as Home Minister Rajnath Singh gave a statement that India will not be ready for any friendly relations or talks until Pakistan stops violating the ceasefire along the Indo-Pak international border. Congress leader Manish Tewari said that the government does not have a policy for Pakistan and the Home Minister should clarify as to what he means by his statement. SP leader Naresh Agarwal slammed the government for showing softness towards Pak by inviting Nawaz Sharif to PM Narendra Modi's swearing-in ceremony. NCP leader Majid Memon welcomed the statement saying that Rajnath Singh has taken the correct decision and it will warn Pak. BJP leader Sudhanshu Trivedi said that Pakistan should understand that friendship and enmity cannot go hand in hand.
