Union Budget: Jaitley proposes to create national agriculture market to increase farmers' income

New Delhi, Feb 28 (ANI): Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, who is presenting the Union Budget for fiscal 2015-16 in the Lok Sabha, proposed to create a national agriculture market to increase farmers' income. Jaitley said that an ambitious soil health card has been introduced to improve soil fertility. He also proposed to allocate Rs. 25,000 crore in 2015 to rural development fund. Corporate Espionage Case: Delhi court sends two more accused to custodial interrogation

New Delhi, Feb 27 (ANI): A Delhi court sent two more people, arrested on suspicion of running a scam to steal documents from petroleum ministry to sell to energy consultants and private companies, to custodial interrogation. The two accused, identified as Jitender Nagpal and Vipan Kumar, were arrested by Delhi police on Wednesday for allegedly leaking confidential documents. Opposition parties say there is no hope from Railway Budget

New Delhi, Feb 26 (ANI): Leaders of the Opposition parties said on Thursday that there are no hopes from the Narendra Modi government’s Railway Budget which will be presented in the Parliament today. NCP leader Tariq Anwar said that Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu is a new minister and it is difficult to say whether he will be able to fulfill people’s expectations or not. Land acquisition Ordinance: No compromise on compensation and rehabilitation, says Gadkari

New Delhi, Feb 25 (ANI): Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari defending the BJP government's land acquisition ordinance called it "farmer friendly" and said that the government is "open minded" for any suggestions. He said that the government will not make any compromise on compensation and rehabilitation of farmers. Gadkari added that the land acquired will be used for rural infrastructure projects like irrigation and roads which will prove helpful for the rural population.
