India and US issues vision "Chalein Saath Saath: Forward Together We Go"

New Delhi, Sept 30 (ANI): Following the 90-minute dinner meet of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with US President Barack Obama at the White House, India and the US today issued a vision statement titled, "Chalein Saath Saath: Forward Together We Go." "As leaders of two great democratic nations with diverse traditions and faiths, we share a vision for a partnership in which the United States and India work together, not just for the benefit of both our nations, but for the benefit of the world," the White House said in a statement. The vision statement said that US-India strategic partnership is a joint endeavour for prosperity and peace, and through intense consultations, joint exercises and shared technology, their security cooperation will make the region and world safe and secure. Afghanistan to sign US security agreement

Kabul, Sept 30 (ANI): Afghanistan will on Tuesday sign a crucial security agreement allowing the United States to leave a small contingent of troops in the country beyond this year, US officials said. Speaking in Kabul, White House counselor John Podesta said it was a positive move. The bilateral security agreement, or BSA, will allow nearly 10,000 US troops to remain in Afghanistan after the international combat mission ends on December 31. Sep 30, 2014
