Dhaka, Dec 02: Trains were attacked, crude bombs were hurled and vehicles were torched by violent BNP-led Jamaat protesters to oppose the announcement of Parliamentary elections in the country. The 48-hour long nation-wide strike by Khaleda Zia-led BNP and its allies paralyzed business, education and health facilities across the country. Around a dozen people were killed in violence and over 50 injured. Protesters attacked the Election Commission offices in Bogra, causing damage to offices, official papers and voters ID cards.
