Manipur's rich cultural heritage showcased on ramp

Manipur, June 29 (ANI): Dressed in traditional Manipuri dress, models sashayed down the ramp in Imphal. The event was organized at Iboyaima Sumang Leela Shanglen under the banner of ‘Sagonarakpa Natki Saktam'. Altogether 28 models from Manipur were invited to give the show an ethnic look. The show aimed at highlighting the uniqueness of the region with special focus on traditional tools. During the show, young Manipuri artists enthralled the audience by performing Maibi Jagoi, a traditional Manipuri dance. Gadkari orders performance audit of border road organization

New Delhi, June 25 (ANI): India's Transport Minister, Nitin Gadkari, has ordered performance audit of the Border Road Organization accusing it of working with a lackadaisical attitude and performing way below the benchmark. The minister addressed media persons in New Delhi and said he was dissatisfied by work of the Border Road Organization which is entrusted with the maintenance of roads that serve the border areas of India.
