Sweden’s architects host annual gingerbread competition

The 26th Swedish gingerbread competition organised by the Swedish Centre for Architecture and Design has crowned its winner. There were over 160 entries and the winner by popular vote was an economic student who built an intricate miniature city, sinking over 40 hours into the design. Winner Ecalina Asp explained that the theme was ‘hemlighet’, which is Swedish for ‘secret’, and ‘hem’ means home. Dec 19, 2016
