New Delhi, July 14 (ANI): Political leaders on Monday reacted over Ramdev's close aide and senior journalist Ved Pratap Vaidak's meeting with 26/11 terror attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed. BJP leader and Union Broadcast and Information Minister Prakash Javadekar said that Vaidak's meeting with Hafiz Saeed has nothing to do with the government, and added that the whole issue was a politicization of terrorism. NCP leader Tariq Anwar said that a journalist has to meet a lot of people in his profession, and that there should not be any controversy over Vaidak's meeting with Saeed. Meanwhile, Congress said that the government should give clarification over the issue. Meanwhile, the opposition Congress Party created an uproar in the Rajya Sabha over the issue. Though the government clarified that it had nothing to do with it, Congress members, including Anand Sharma continued to insist on the statement saying the matter is related to the security concerns of the country. Vaidik on Sunday courted a controversy after his picture with 26/11 mastermind Hafiz Saeed was released. He, however, said that the photograph was released by him. He said that he met Saeed on July 2 in Lahore and had an hour long chat with him. Tweeting over this Digvijay said that whether Vaidik met Saeed as NDA government envoy or Modi’s personal envoy. Hafiz Saeed denies JuD being a 'foreign terrorist organisation' as claimed by US

Lahore, June 27 (ANI): The US State Department has named a self-proclaimed Pakistani charity as a "foreign terrorist organisation", a status that freezes any assets it has under US jurisdiction. Jamaat-ud-Dawah (JuD) calls itself a humanitarian charity but is widely seen as a front organisation for the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LET), a Pakistan-based group accused of orchestrating attacks in India, including the 2008 Mumbai attack that killed 166 people. However, Hafiz Saeed, who founded LeT and now leads JuD, lashed out at the United States government for targeting JuD in the name of LeT without having any proof.
