Russia's Vladimir Putin arrives in India to deepen ties

New Delhi, Dec 11 (ANI):Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in New Delhi to boost ties that would encompass issues from defence to nuclear power and even diamonds. Putin's India visit will prepare the way for two Siberian oil deals and chart a route for a first pipeline between the two countries.On Putin's arrival, Modi tweeted:"Delighted to welcome President Putin to India! Looking forward to a productive visit that will take India-Russia ties to newer heights". On Thursday Putin and Modi will hold delegation-level talks and also inaugurate World Diamond Conference.Though both Modi and Putin have met earlier but structured bilateral talks have not been held so far. Pakistan's envoy says both countries must work on bonding peacefully to bolster ties

New Delhi, Dec 09 (ANI): Pakistan High Commissioner to India, Abdul Basit said that both nuclear-armed neighbours must work on bonding peacefully with each other in a bid to bolster ties, while attending classical musical event in New Delhi. Speaking to a mediapersons at the event, Basit said if both neighbours work on their issues peacefully a solution can be worked out soon, which will enhance future engagements. The guests were also awed by the delicacies served at the event, prepared by Pakistani chefs. Muslim Pakistan maintains Kashmir should have been included in its territory when British-ruled India was partitioned into independent India and Pakistan in 1947. India rejects that. Dec 9, 2014

Chief of Kazakhstan Armed Forces receives Guard of Honour in New Delhi

New Delhi, Dec 08 (ANI): Chief of armed forces of Kazakhstan, Colonel General Zhasuzakov Saken Adilkhanovich, who is on a six-day visit to India, received guard of honour in New Delhi on Monday. Adilkhanovich, who arrived in India on Sunday, was received by India's Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha before the ceremony. As per Indian embassy, inter-governmental commission was formed between India-Kazakhstan in 1992 and has been instrumental in developing bilateral trade, economic, scientific, technological, industrial and cultural cooperation.
