This week in the celebrity spotlight: Nominations for the Golden Globes, SAG and Grammys are announced, stars rock around the Christmas tree and the Hobbit invades Hollywood. Welcome to the Getty Images Week in Review. Here’s what’s been happening with your favorite celebs this week. Ansel Elgort & Eva Longoria were up early to kick off award season with the announcement of the Screen Actor Guild Awards nominations. ‘Birdman’ led the way with four nods including ones for Michael Keaton, Edward Norton & Emma Stone. Following close behind, ‘Boyhood’, ‘The Imitation Game’ & ‘The Theory of Everything’ with three nominations each. Jennifer Aniston & Reese Witherspoon each received recognition along with Benedict Cumberbatch who was a double nominee for TV’s ‘Sherlock: His Last Vow’ and for ‘The Imitation Game’. On the small screen, ‘Modern Family’ garnered four nods with ‘Boardwalk Empire,’ ‘Game of Thrones,’ ‘Homeland’ & ‘House of Cards’ following with three apiece. The awards will be handed out January 25th. Award season continues to take shape with the announcement of the 2015 Golden Globe nominations.
