Bangalore Rape Case: Principal, Director of school arrested

Bangalore, Nov 02 (ANI): Police arrested the principal and one of the directors of school in Bangalore, over alleged rape of a six-year-old child. A case of negligence was also filed against the institution for not following the guidelines issued for children safety. The child was allegedly raped twice by a school teacher on October 28 and October 29 at the private school in the city. Additional Commissioner of Police for law and order, Alok Kumar said the principal Vaijayanthi and director Pramod Arya were arrested under two sections of the Indian Penal Code and one section under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO). He added that both the accused have been booked under Section 21 of the POCSO Act for not informing the police after learning about the incident. Politicos react after Election Commission demands MHA's explanation on 1984 riots compensation

New Delhi/Noida, Nov 1 (ANI): Politicos reacted on Saturday after the Election Commission asked the Home Ministry to explain its decision to give a fresh compensation of Rs five lakh to the victims of 1984 anti-Sikh riots considering that the Model Code of Conduct is in force in Delhi because of the upcoming by-polls. Congress leader Rashid Alvi said that the government should give compensation to the victims of all the riots and politics should not be done in this issue. NCP leader Majid Memon also slammed the government for ignoring the victims of Muzaffarnagar and other riots. Leaders from other political parties also expressed similar sentiments. Nov 1, 2014
