Dramatic footage shows police officers attempting to reach a holiday camp cut off by a forest fire. 88 children and 26 adult staff had to be evacuated from Circle V Ranch when the Whittier wildfire spread dangerously close to the summer camp. The video shows officers driving down a dirt road towards the camp only to find the path blocked by fire and fallen trees. At least 3 dead after fire breaks out in high-rise building in Honolulu

At least three people died in a house fire in Honolulu. 12 others were injured in the blaze on the 26th floor of the 31-storey Marco Polo apartments. The fire burnt through several floors of the 538-unit house. The building was partially evacuated but some people were trapped inside their flats.
