Communal Harmony boosts growth of textile industry

Karnataka, May 26 (ANI): India is known for its diversity which is marked by harmonious relations between people of different communities. Historical fort city Chitradurga situated in southern state of Karnataka provides yet another example of this fact. Here, an all women textile training unit centre provides livelihood to people from different faiths who are working under one roof. Everyone gets training here in perfect harmony and religion has never come in the way of good relations between trainees. The girls who were confined to household work and agricultural labor are now finding good income in apparel designing and stitching garments. Girls selected in batches are trained in the state-of-art machines and are enabled to take up the challenges in the industry. May 26, 2014

Campaigning for Traffic Police, Sachin Tendulkar distributes helmets to women

Chandigarh, May 22 (ANI): In a bid to spread awareness regarding traffic rules and women safety, legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar gave away helmets to girls in Chandigarh. Tendulkar came in support of Traffic Policemen and officials holding traffic awareness signboards and distributed helmets to four women riders while informing them about the importance of following traffic rules. He further added that everyone, especially women, should wear helmets to avoid head injuries and one should always follow the speed limit and never violate traffic rules. May 22, 2014
