Venezuelan President Maduro creates popular assembly for constitution rewrite amid more anti-government protests

Venezuelas socialist President Nicolas Maduro has called for a rewriting of the countrys constitution in a bid to quell the ongoing protests against his government. Anti-government protests continued for a second month on May Day, as the opposition want a general election to try to end 18 years of socialist rule.
