Mumbai, Dec 05 (ANI): After a Mumbai court on Thursday ordered a fresh trial in the Salman Khan hit-and-run case, petitioner in the case, Abha Singh said that this is a definite relief for Khan and that his lawyer will take full advantage of the same. The court has ordered that all evidence and witnesses be re-examined. The hearing in the case will begin from December 24. Puducherry, Nov 27 (ANI): All the accused in the Sankararaman murder case including Kanchi Shankaracharya Jayendra Saraswati have been acquitted by the Puducherry principal and district sessions court on Wednesday. The trial ran for over nine years. The court acquitted all the accused saying the complainant failed to support the prosecution. Sankararaman, the manager of the Varadarajaperumal temple in Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu, was allegedly murdered on September 3, 2004, in the temple premises. Sankararaman had allegedly written several letters to publications claiming that the Kanchi mutt had deteriorated ever since Jayendra Saraswati had taken over.
