Rajnath Singh says probe into Sunanda Pushkar death case impartial and bereft of political pressure

New Delhi, Jan 15 (ANI): Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday denied any political pressure in the inquiry into the murder of Sunanda Pushkar. Congress leader Shashi Tharoor's wife Sunanda Pushkar was found dead in her five-star hotel room in Delhi in January 2014, after publicly accusing Tharoor of having an extra-marital affair with a Pakistani journalist. Singh said every probe conducted by Delhi Police is unbiased. Meanwhile, Tharoor, who is in Kolkata to attend a book festival evaded media and queries regarding the case. New Delhi/ Kolkata, Jan 13 (ANI): Political leaders on Tuesday condemned TMC leader Swapan Debnath after he said that left party women leaders tear their own blouses and claim assault. While addressing Trinamool supporters, Debnath said that the women activists of Left party often stoop to such a low level that they tear their own blouses and claim being assaulted. Debnath added that when these activists quarrel with their husbands and are attacked, they don't blame them, but instead frame Trinamool members. New Delhi, Jan 13 (ANI): Politicos reacted as CBI on Monday examined a whole-time member of SEBI in connection with the Saradha Chit Fund Scam. SEBI member Rajeev Kumar Agarwal was summoned to CBI's Kolkata office on Monday and was questioned for over four hours. This is the first time a serving member of SEBI has come under CBI scrutiny. Car rally thrills visually impaired in Bhopal

Bhopal/ Kolkata, Jan 11 (ANI): A non-profit organization organized a Blind challenge car rally for visually impaired in Madhya Pradesh to create awareness among people on Sunday. During the rally, the vehicle was driven by a person with vision but the directions were being given by the blind, who through navigator in Braille language guided them about the route and speed. The drivers had to drive on a 30-kilometre route and the directions were told by the blind. The rally saw participation of 55 cars. A visually impaired boy, Ashish Gupta, said he was quite thrilled about the concept. The challenge was not to speed or take over other cars; however, drivers were penalized for driving very slow. Participants were given certificates and first three navigators were presented with cash award and trophies. The rally was flagged off by Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Babulal Gaur. Dumdum, Jan 10 (ANI): Atleast three people were injured after a crude bomb placed inside a Tiffin box exploded on Saturday near Dumdum Cantonment railway station on the outskirts of Kolkata. According to media reports, the blast took place near platform number 2, where a Tiffin box with a circuit was found. Few cans with explosives have also been found. Court sends six accused of gang raping Japanese student to jail

Kolkata, Jan 10 (ANI): An Indian court sent six accused for gang raping a 23-year-old Japanese student to jail till January 16 for further interrogation, said defence counsel in Kolkata. Kolkata police busted a racket of tour guides, who duped Japanese students and tourists. Three tour guides lured a Japanese student and took her to Gaya city of Bihar, where they were joined by three more people, and then gang-raped her and looted her of rupees 25,000 (USD 395.44). The Japanese tourist alleged that she was raped on November 23, 2014 and a complaint was filed on November 26 in Kolkata city.
