J and K polls: Kashmiris expecting good governance and employment

Jammu and Kashmir, Nov 22 (ANI): People of Jammu and Kashmir hoped for good governance and redressal of issues from state government in upcoming assembly polls. The five-phase polls in Jammu and Kashmir will begin on November 25 and will end on December 20. The results would be announced on December 23. Various political parties are holding rallies in the state in a bid to garner votes Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chief Mehbooba Mufti also addressed rallies and met people in Bandipora district in a bid to gather support. Mufti said that valley needs a government that can improve the overall condition of the state with water, power supply, employment, good roads and hospitals, which her party promised to deliver. The district also saw Congress leader Raj Babbar campaigning for his party. Meanwhile, incumbent chief minister Omar Abdullah also drew huge crowds to his rally in Baramullah district. Nov 22, 2014

Australia to help create smart cities in India

Brisbane, Nov 17 (ANI): The Mayor of Brisbane, Lord Graham Quirk, offered to help Modi in the creation of his vision of smart cities in India, with smart water supply, sewage system and other aspects of important living standards. Quirk was speaking after a civic reception hosted by him and the Premier of Queensland, Campbell Newman, in honour of the Prime Minister of India.
