In Memphis, Tennessee, the city is suing the state for the removal of a bust of Nathan Bedford Forrest, an early Ku Klux Klan leader, which stands in the capitol. In Frankfort, Kentucky, its a statue of the Jefferson Davis, that has drawn ire from the local NAACP chapter for years. In Jacksonville, Florida, Anna Lopez Brosche, president of the city council, has requested the city take a full inventory...of all publicly displayed Confederate symbols on public property, and develop a plan to relocate them. Its all part of the age-old controversy which has has regained national attention......in the wake of Charlottesville, Virginias deadly Unite the Right rally. The rally was held in response to the city councils decision to remove the Robert E. Lee statue in Charlottesvilles Lee Park, to be renamed Emancipation Park.
