Experts hammer out agendas at Delhi summit for Paris climate talks

New Delhi, Feb 05 (ANI): Environmentalists and policy makers met at the 15th Delhi Sustainable Development Summit (DSDS) to set agendas for the 2015 climate change summit in Paris as India plays an influential role in UN climate talks. Paris could mark a shift away from two decades of climate diplomacy toward a more technocratic system that would allow national pledges for action to limit warming to be compared and toughened in coming years. Chairman of UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), Rajendra K Pachauri, said that the three-day Delhi summit will be significant as far as the world's sustainable development goals were concerned. Madonna to perform at '2015 BRIT Awards' after 20yrs

New Delhi, Feb 4 (ANI): Madonna has officially confirmed that she is going to perform at The BRIT Awards 2015 after her last performance, which was 20 years back. 'Like A Virgin' singer took to her twitter account to broke the news and also attached a picture of BRIT statuette tied up in cords, which was her 'Rebel Heart' promo theme, a leading daily reported.Max Lousada, Chairman of BRITs said that Madonna was an icon, an innovator and an entertainer, and with this they are delighted to bring her back to the BRIT stage. The singer has still kept the surprise by keeping her performance tracks a secret, but most probably she will feature her new album ' Rebel Heart ' track in her performance. Two policemen killed, six injured in Maoist attack in Chhattisgarh

Raipur, Feb 03 (ANI): Two policemen were killed and six other security personnel injured when heavily-armed Maoists opened fire on them in Chhattisgarh. The local police, along with paramilitary Border Security Force (BSF) were conducting a combing operation in Pakhanjur area of Kanker district following a tip off when Maoists in large numbers attacked the security personnel. Authorities had rushed a chopper to airlift the injured personnel and sent reinforcements to the site to nab rebels. The Maoists, also known as Naxals in India, are inspired by the political philosophy of China's late Chairman Mao Zedong. They say they are fighting for the rights of poor farmers and landless labourers. Feb 3, 2015
