College students in Bihar observe Human Rights Day

Patna, Dec 10 (ANI): Students of a women's college in Bihar formed a human chain on Wednesday (December 10) on the occasion of Human Rights Day. Students held banners and placards to raise awareness about human rights and endorsed the significance of the day. Human Rights Day is a United Nations (UN) endeavor to end discrimination and uplift the global human rights conditions. It was on this day in 1948, that the General Assembly of the UN had adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. December 10 marks Human Rights Day, the 66th anniversary of the landmark Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), signed by 48 nations - with just eight abstentions. Dec 10, 2014
