India condemns terror attack on innocent children in Peshawar

New Delhi, Dec 16 (ANI): Cutting across party lines, Indian political and social leaders on Tuesday condemned the attack by a terror outfit on a Pakistani school, terming it as 'inhuman', and adding that the Islamic Republic has fallen prey to its own Frankenstein's monster. Leaders Shashi Tharoor, Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Sanjay Raut, Arvind Kejriwal, Former Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar, Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan, Former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda and Former External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid condemned the attack. Child Rights Activist and Nobel Peace Prize winner Kailash Satyarthi also condemned the attack. The ongoing attack on Peshawar's Army Public School by the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), has reportedly led to the death of 130 people, including at least 100 students. Dec 16, 2014

Aamir Khan and a Anushka Sharma promotes PK in Jaipur

Jaipur, Dec 14 (ANI): Bollywood actor Aamir Khan and actress Anushka Sharma promoted their much awaited comedy-drama film 'PK' in India's pink city Jaipur. The cast and crew of the film is on a multi-city tour to generate a buzz for their upcoming film. Khan started the tour from eastern state of Bihar and also visited northern holy city of Varanasi to promote 'PK'. Khan will now head to other places like western Ahmedabad city and central city of Raipur as part of promotional tour. Meanwhile, Khan said the most important thing is the audience should like the movie. 'PK' has been directed by Rajkumar Hirani and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. Hirani, who was also present at the promotional event, said his motive behind making the movie is not profit but to deliver a message. Two years after Nirbhaya case women feel country has still not learnt a lesson

Shimla/ Chandigarh, Dec 14 (ANI): Almost two years after the gruesome rape of a 23 year old woman in the capital led to amendment of the laws for prosecution of rapists, women in other parts of the country say they don't feel that things have changed for the better. A resident of Shimla in Himachal Pradesh, Phalma Chauhan, said that she felt that since the Nirbhaya incident things had only gotten worse. However, Deputy General of Police, Himachal Pradesh, Sanjay Kumar did not seem to be in agreement with the girls. Since the Nirbhaya case, a number of shocking incidents have come to light, most recently the Uber rape case. A resident of Chandigarh said that for any effective steps to be taken in this direction, the political parties must stop indulging in mud-slinging. Dec 14, 2014
