Police rescue 250 children in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Jan 24 (ANI): Police on Saturday (January 24) rescued 250 children in Hyderabad who were forced to work as child labourers in industries. These children were rescued during a massive search operation carried out by the police in different locations of the city. Most of the children were from Bihar, aged between eight and 13 years. These children were brought to Hyderabad after paying an advance of rupees 5000 (USD 81.40) to rupees 10,000 (USD 162.80) to their parents. Child labour is getting common in India, where slavery ranges from bonded labour in quarries and kilns to domestic work and commercial sex exploitation. Japan provides human resource training in nuclear power generation

Hanoi/ Japan, Jan 20 (ANI): In order to meet the rapid growth in electricity demand driven by a growing economy and expanding industrial base, Vietnam has decided to introduce nuclear energy. A developing country with a population of 92.5 million, Vietnam has selected Japan as its partner. The government issued a master plan specifying the project of building nuclear power plants, as the first time in Vietnam and South East Asia. Electric Power University (EPU) in Hanoi, is one of the six universities in Vietnam that are authorized to provide human resource training in nuclear power generation. The University has opened the Department of Nuclear Power in 2010 where students are learning basic knowledge required for nuclear power generation. Mitsubishi Heavy Industries is one of the first partners which effectively cooperates and supports Electric Power University and provide nuclear engineering lecture. Recently, "Cool Japan lounge" exhibition was held at AEON Mall Binh Duon Canary in Vietnam by Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, as a part of "Cool Japan World Trial" initiatives. New Delhi, Jan 20 (ANI): Prime Minster Narendra Modi met German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schuble, who is on a two-day India visit, to enhance bilateral economic relations. Fadnavis calls Mumbai marathon a festival to celebrate spirit of freedom

Mumbai, Jan 18 (ANI): The 2015 edition of the Mumbai Marathon started on Sunday in which around 40,000 people took part. The marathon started at 5:40 am. This year's edition of the marathon will both start and finish at the Azad Maidan sports ground in South Mumbai. The marathon will bring together thousands of long-distance runners, senior citizens, physically challenged participants and amateur runners. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Sunday said that the Mumbai marathon which takes place every year is a festival where people celebrate the spirit of freedom. Japan Foreign Minister says will invest in India's northeast

New Delhi, Jan 17 (ANI): Japan Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida said on Saturday that Japan would invest in building roads and infrastructure in India's northeast. Building infrastructure such as power plants, industries and telecommunication hubs in the northeast would be a major contributor to connect the key region with Southeast Asian countries. Japan has promised to give India $ 35 billion for developmental projects. Kishida arrived in New Delhi on Friday to co-chair the eighth India-Japan Strategic Dialogue with his Indian counterpart Sushma Swaraj.
