Sachin Tendulkar supports children cardiac awareness

Mumbai, Jan 22 (ANI): Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar supported a noble cause of cardiac awareness in children and donated Rs 10,00,000 to initiate preventive measures across India. A Mumbai-based Bai Jerbai Wadia Hospital for Children initiated the awareness drive for the prevention of cardiac diseases in infants and toddlers. Tendulkar said that he was moved by story of a girl who could not take necessary treatment due to lack of funds. In order to raise awareness about cardiac problems in children, a marathon will be held in Mumbai on February 09 from the iconic Siddhivinayak Temple in the city and will end at the hospital location. BJP launches website to collect funds online from supporters

New Delhi, Jan 15 (ANI): In a run-up to the upcoming national polls, the BJP on Tuesday launched a website to donate online funds for supporting party's campaign, aimed at making Narendra Modi as the next Prime Minister. The website that was launched at an event in New Delhi had been named as 'Modi for PM fund'. BJP chief, Rajnath Singh, said that the party had fixed up limits for the donations that the supporters could contribute via internet. Rajnath Singh kick-started the funds-raising campaign by donating1000 rupees. People in Trivandrum runs to create cancer awareness

Trivandrum, Jan 11 (ANI): Hundreds of people gathered in Trivandrum on Saturday to take part in a marathon to create awareness about the cancer disease and support the underprivileged cancer patients. Thousands of men, women and children participated in the annual run to raise the funds for the patients in the regional Cancer centre. The run started from Kanakakunnu palace in Trivandrum at 6.30 am. Theme for the marathon was to 'RUN FOR LIFE'. Mumbai, Jan 04 (ANI): Bollywood singers attended the launch of a devotional, spiritual music album with songs dedicated to Lord Krishna in Mumbai. Singer-Composer Rupa Raman has composed the album. Singer Hariharan who launched the music album said that the songs have been beautifully composed and are soothing to the ear. Raman has composed over 200 classical albums and her latest offering is inspired by the teachings of Lord Krishna.
