Aligarh, Sep 16 (ANI): Aligarh, located in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh is a famous educational and commercial hub of India. The city houses people from different religious beliefs in its ambit of religious acceptance and tolerance. People who live in peace and harmony here work together for the common good of their region. One such example is the establishment of non-governmental organization, Gaurav social and development society which works to impart vocational training to girls. The organization imparts training to girls in various skilled courses including stitching, beautician and mehndi designing. The society aims to train girls for various vocational courses to earn a better living for themselves and family. Political leaders condemn BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj's'madarsa remark' even as BJP calls it'personal opin

New Delhi/ Lucknow, Sep 15 (ANI): Political party leaders condemned BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj's remark on Madarsas wherein he said that these institutions are imparting education on terrorism and that Muslim men are getting paid to convert Hindu girls. Congress leader Manish Tewari questioned on the silence of prime minister and Muslim leaders in the party over the matter. SP leader Naresh Agarwal and CPI leader D Raja condemned the remark and said that BJP is trying to polarize the nation. Former Samajwadi Party leader Kamal Farooqui said that such leaders should either get proof for their statements or should be prosecuted for the same. BJPs Sakshi Maharaj receives flak over madarsas give education of terrorism remark

Unnao/ Lucknow, Sep 14 (ANI): Bharatiya Janta Party MP Sakshi Maharaj on Sunday received flak over his controversial remark wherein he alleged that Madarsas give ‘education of terrorism’. He said that all educational institutions should be under government and under the same norms and that madarsas should not be given right to impart such education to the kids. Maharaj also alleged that no madarsas hoist Indian national flag on 15th August or 26th January. He also said that Muslim men try to convert Hindu girls and take his as a trade. Reacting on the same, Muslim Cleric Khalid Rasheed Firangi Mahali said that madrasas cultivate & spread message of love and peace. UNICEF report says 49% of girls in India sexually abused, Politicos react

New Delhi, Sep 12 (ANI): Reactions flowed in as UNICEF report said that 49% of girls in India under the age of 19 are sexually abused. BJP leader Sambit Patra said that until we don't give respect to women in our country, development is not possible. NCP leaders Tariq Anwar and Majid Memon said that the issue needs to be taken in cognizance by all concerns and we must act so that such things don't take place again. However, NCP leader Naresh Agarwal said that UNICEF should also come out with reports of other countries and not only talk of India.
