New Delhi, Sept 28 (ANI): Bollywood actor Salman Khan who is known for big heart and runs Being Human NGO has reportedly donated Rs.50 lakh for relief and rehabilitation of Jammu and Kashmir flood victims. A leading daily quoted a source close to the actor as saying, "Given that Salman does a lot of charity and he runs the NGO Being Human, it's not surprising that he has stepped up for a noble cause. What happened in Jammu and Kashmir was a big natural disaster and he wanted to lend a helping hand." This is not the first time when the actor came forward to fulfill his social responsibility. Politicos criticize Pak PM Sharif for raising Kashmir issue at UNGA

New Delhi, Sept 27 (ANI): Cutting across party lines, leaders of various political parties criticized Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for raising the issue of Jammu and Kashmir at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) and said that all issues between the two Asian neighbours have to be addressed bilaterally. BJP leader Nalin Kohli said it reflected that Pakistan was not at all serious as far as resolving the issue of Jammu and Kashmir was concerned. Congress leader echoing similar sentiments said that Pakistan raised this issue to divert the attention from its internal disasters. Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Tariq Anwar on his part said that it is an old tactic of Pakistan. Addressing the UNGA in New York, Sharif said that his nation was disappointed at the cancellation of the Foreign Secretary-level talks with India and called on the international community to resolve the issue of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that his government had sincerely embarked on negotiation process with India for peaceful resolution of all disputes. Rajouri, Sep 25 (ANI): Victims of the Kashmir floods said that they are still homeless, as many houses had collapsed during the worst natural disaster that had hit Jammu and Kashmir in a century. Hundreds of people have been killed and tens of thousands are homeless. Authorities say the cost of damage in Jammu and Kashmir may run into billions of dollars. Villagers of Rajouri district said they haven't still got any tents or alternate arrangements after their houses collapsed in the devastation.
