Indian envoy reviews progress of joint projects with Bangladesh

Agartala, Oct 8 (ANI): India's Deputy High Commissioner in Dhaka, Sandeep Chakravorty reviewed the progress of a couple of collaborative projects between India and Bangladesh during his three-day visit to Tripura. Chakravorty after meeting Tripura Power Minister Manik Dey said work to supply 100 MW power from Tripura's Palatana power project to Bangladesh is progressing fast. Chakravorty, during his visit to Tripura, will find the status of various India-Bangladesh projects and meet ministers and top officials of the state to take note of the ground reality. The Indian envoy also added the Agartala-Akhaura rail link is in an advance stage of preparation. Oct 8, 2014

Rescue operation underway to save nine-year-old Bangalore girl washed away in drain

Bangalore, Oct 07 (ANI): Rescue operation is underway to save a nine-year-old girl who was washed away in storm water drain in Bangalore city of Karnataka. The girl, Geethalakshmi, is a native of Tamil Nadu and had come to stay with her grandfather in Bangalore. A local legislator, Satish Reddy, said she had fallen into an open slab while walking with her grandfather during night time. Reddy added that a special fire team is searching for the girl inside the drain, which is 25 feet wide and 1 kilometre long. Oct 7, 2014

Reactions pour in after AIR broadcasts PM Modi's 'Mann Ki Baat'

BJP leader Sambit Patra said that PM through his speech inspired people to march ahead for creation of a better India. Tabu holds a special screening of 'Haider'

Mumbai, Oct 2 (ANI): Bollywood actress Tabu organized a special screening of her upcoming film Haider in Mumbai. Haider is an adaptation of Hamlet, a very popular tragedy written by English playwright and poet William Shakespeare and releases on October 2, Thursday. Dressed in a bright orange outfit by designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla, Tabu warmly greeted the guests arriving for the screening of the film. Speaking on the occasion, Tabu said that guests invited to this screening included her close ones. Guests seen at the film screening included Bollywood actors like Randeep Hooda, Tusshar Kapoor and music director and singer Anu Malik etc. Tabu essays the character of the mother of the lead character of the movie, portrayed by Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor. Haider has been produced by Siddharth Roy Kapoor and Vishal Bhardwaj. Vishal Bhardwaj is also the director of film and has even given the music for the film. Oct 2, 2014
