New Delhi, Feb 08 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who chaired the first meeting of the National Institution for Transforming India (NITI) Aayog on Sunday, said the spirit of cooperative federalism will enhance India's progress and prosperity. "State CMs gave many insightful views during the meeting. This spirit of cooperative federalism will enhance India's progress and prosperity. Emphasised on the need to expedite growth, investment, job creation, elimination of poverty and moving away from 'one size fits all' approach," Prime Minister Modi tweeted. New Delhi, Feb 08 (ANI): After the NITI Aayog meeting ended, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Sunday said that the meeting was extremely useful in that Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized on empowerment of the states. Jaitley said that the PM gave opening comments thereafter each states gave their opinions. He said that the opening comments were in context of governing model and that the PM said that priorities are growth, investment, jobs and decentralization. He also said that Modi emphasized that economic activities should be in the states and there should be flexibility of states. Asian Development Bank president calls on PM Narendra Modi

New Delhi, Feb 06 (ANI): Asian Development Bank (ADB) President Takehiko Nakao met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. Nakao was accompanied with a delegation from the ADB as they discussed matters of mutual interest to India and the ADB, with Modi. After the meet, Modi tweeted a picture of the two leaders shaking hands, reading the caption: "A very productive meeting with Mr. Takehiko Nakao, President of the Asian Development Bank. @ADB_HQ". Meanwhile, the ADB tweeted: "In meeting with @narendramodi, @ADB_HQ Pres Nakao lauds #India's brighter growth prospects". Nakao commended India's efforts to improve business environment and accelerate infrastructure investment.
