New Delhi, Feb 18 (ANI): Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley has said that India has enough raw material to provide clean power to the entire country. Jaitley made the statement at 'RE-Invest', first global renewable energy meet and expo, attended by over 200 investors, 350 exhibitors and 1,000 delegates among senior ministers of the government. The central theme of the conference is to attract large scale investments for renewable energy sector in India. India is seeking investments of $100 billion over seven years to boost the country's renewable energy capacity by 33 times to 100,000 megawatts. RE-Invest will be the first major platform for investment promotion which signals India's commitment to the development and scaling up of renewable energy to meet its energy requirement in a sustainable manner. India needs massive investment in clean energy to kick start economy, says economic advisor

New Delhi, Feb 15 (ANI): Chief Economic Advisor Arvind Subramanian on Sunday said that the country needed massive investment in clean energy to kick start economy. Subramanian made the remarks at the first Renewable Energy Global Investors Meet and Expo, Re-invest 2015 in New Delhi. Subramanian said that focus of renewable energy should be on major investment in greening coal. India is the world's third-largest greenhouse gas emitter and often acts as the voice of the world's developing countries in United Nations talks on everything from climate change to economic cooperation. India expects more than 600 global armament majors at defence exhibition

New Delhi, Feb 10 (ANI): India is expecting participation of more than 600 global armament majors at the five-day defence exhibition, showing their state-of-art-technology, said an official. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Aero-India 2015, one of the largest premium air shows in Asia, in Bengaluru city on February 18 with aim to attract investment in the country. Modi's 'Make in India' initiative is the major theme for the exhibition. The initiative has been launched to boost industrial production by inviting foreign as well as domestic investment and cutting red tape.
