5 Navy cadets arrested for molesting woman in Mumbai

Mumbai, April 28 (ANI): Mumbai police arrested five navy cadets for allegedly molesting a woman in a Mumbai pub and then chasing her auto. The incident took place when the 25-year-old housewife went to a pub along with her husband and a friend. The couple was dancing when the cadets allegedly misbehaved with her. The officers waited for the victim after the pub authorities asked them to leave. The victim called the police while on the chase and later, the police arrested the five accused. Guard of honour for two Army officers killed in Shopian encounter

New Delhi, April 28 (ANI): The security personnel, who were killed in an encounter in Shopian town of Jammu and Kashmir, were given guard of honour by the Indian Army. Major Mukund Vardarajan and sepoy Vikram Singh were killed by militants during an overnight gun battle that started Friday in Shopian. The bodies were flown back to Delhi from Srinagar and is being sent to their respective hometowns. While Major Vardarajan’s body is sent to his home in Chennai, while sepoy Vikram Singh’s body will be arriving at his home in Haryana. Northern Commander of the Indian Army Lieutenant General, Sanjiv Chachra laid wreath on the coffins during the guard of honour and acknowledged Major Vardarajan’s leadership while respecting his sacrifice. Jharkhand: Landmine blast injures three policemen

Khunti, March 25 (ANI): At least three policemen were seriously injured in a landmine blast triggered by Naxals in Jhankhand's Khunti district on Tuesday. The blast took place near the Murhu police station in the Kotna village where the officers were engaged in anti-Maoist operations. Superintendent of police, Anees Gupta, threw more light on the incident. For better treatment, they have now been sent to Apollo hospital in Ranchi.
