Manipur, Oct 15 (ANI): Under the theme "Serving in Adventure" a two-day long medical camp was organized by the Royal Riders Club. Altogether, 23 Bullet Enfields and 42 members rode more than 130 kilometers to provide medical treatment and free medicines to the villagers. Fire in Pantry car of Rajdhani Express, no casualities reported

Dibrugarh, Oct 15 (ANI): Passengers on board the Rajdhani Express travelling from Dibrugarh to New Delhi had a narrow escape after the pantry car of the train caught fire early morning on Tuesday. No causality has been reported so far. According to sources, one of the two pantry cars caught fire following which, the rest of the train was isolated to prevent further damage. The incident happened as the train was crossing through Assam's Nagaon district at about 4:00 in the morning. The fire has now been brought under control. The Rajdhani Express is still stationed at the accident spot, according to reports. Oct 15, 2013

Cyclone Phailin: Restoration of train services now main aim, says Railways

New Delhi, Oct 13 (ANI): Cyclone Phailin that hit coastal Odisha and Andhra Pradesh on Saturday evening, destroyed railway signals and high-tension electricity wires and uprooted tracks and railway platforms at various stations, bringing the rail services in the region to a halt. Talking to mediapersons in New Delhi, East Coast Railway spokesperson Anil Saxena said on Sunday that more than 100 trains have been cancelled in Bhadrak, Puri and Palasa sections while at least 25 other trains have been diverted. BSF helps children with cleft lip in Tripura

Tripura, Oct 11 (ANI): A two-day long medical camp for people with cleft lips was held at Salbagan in the west district of Tripura. At the camp, 14 people, including children and other persons with cleft lips and palates were operated upon by doctors. All patients were from poor families and the funds for organizing the surgical and medical camp were provided by Smile Train. Smile Train, founded in 2000, is an international charity that helps children with cleft lips. All parents were very happy that the BSF helped them in the treatment of their children. The surgeries were performed free of cost. Such camps have been held in the past as well. The initiative gives the children a new lease of life, and a smile on their faces. Oct 11, 2013
