Jammu and Kashmir, Oct 25 (ANI): The RS Pura district of Jammu and Kashmir witnessed yet another ceasefire violation by Pakistan on Thursday night that continued till Friday morning. Heavy shelling from the Pakistan side started at around 9:15 pm at Korotana and Chenaj posts in Suchetgarh sector. The Indian Border Security Forces (BSF) also retaliated, resulting in heavy exchanges. Due to shelling, panic-stricken villagers have been forced to abandon their homes and flee to safer places. Talking to mediapersons in New Delhi, Minority Affairs Minister K Rehman Khan said that it’s the UPA government’s commitment to bring this bill. After the recent violence in Muzaffarnagar, Rahman Khan shot off a letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh urging him to bring the Bill in the House at the earliest opportunity. The legislation defines communal and targeted violence and imposes a penalty on public servants for negligence of duty.
