Haryana Govt to honour two sisters for taking on molesters inside moving bus in Rohtak

Chandigarh, Dec 01 (ANI): Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Monday said that his government will honour the two sisters who took on three alleged molesters inside a moving bus in Rohtak. He said the girls will be honoured and would get cash awards on Republic Day for their bravery. He also said that effective steps will be taken to ensure the security of women passengers. The state government has asked the Director General of Police (DGP) and the state transport department to take steps for ensuring safety and security of passengers, especially women travelling in the Haryana Roadways buses. In order to fulfill duties of a father, Savani himself participated in all rituals of each individual wedding ceremony. Savani said that such events send out a message that people must help each other irrespective of religion. Couples decked in traditional attires exchanged garlands and participated in the religious rituals. Apart from arranging the ceremony, Savani also organises events on various festivals and stays in touch with the couples. Savani said that his relation with the couples was not that of few hours and that he would keep in touch with them for life. Rohtak, Dec 01 (ANI): Rohtak Police arrested three men for harassing two college going girls inside a Haryana Roadways bus. The three men - Kuldeep Singh, Mohit and Deepak - were arrested on Sunday night by the Haryana police. Amateur video footage shot by a passenger shows the women apparently fighting with three men on board the bus while other passengers watch. Meanwhile, state Agriculture Minister OP Dhankar said that the girls were an inspiration to everyone and offered a cash reward to both of them.
