New Delhi, January 22 (ANI): Fondly known as Sallu bhai, Salman Khan was born on December 27, 1965 of the legendary writer Salim Khan. Salman started his acting carrier in 1988 by doing a supporting role in the movie Biwi Ho To Aisi. The following year he had the leading role in the box office romantic hit Maine Pyar Kiya. From there he became a heart throb of Indian cinema. Khan has starred in several commercially successful films, such as Saajan, Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!, Karan Arjun , Judwaa, Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya, Biwi No.1, and Hum Saath Saath Hain, having appeared in the highest grossing film nine separate years during his career, a record that remains unbroken. Often referred to as Bollywood's "bad boy," his knack of walking into trouble has overshadowed people's perception of him as an actor. He has been featured as the bad guy of the industry several times over. But many-a-common-man claims that this macho hunk has a heart made of pure gold. The actor with a track record of 80 films in his kitty is indeed Bollywood’s biggest superstar. 18 killed in a stampede in Mumbai

Mumbai, Jan 18 (ANI): At least 18 people were killed and several wounded in a stampede that broke out on Saturday near the residence of Dawoodi Bohra spiritual leader Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin. According to reports, the stampede took place near the Malabar Hill residence of Dr. Burhanuddin, who died on Friday, as people had gathered to pay homage to the spiritual leader. New Delhi, Jan 17 (ANI): A new study has found that fast food consumption may not be the major factor in the rapid increase in childhood obesity. The study found that fast-food consumption is simply a byproduct of a much bigger problem: poor all-day-long dietary habits that originate in children's homes. The study was produced by researchers at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Gillings School of Global Public Health. The study's researchers found that children's consumption of fast food is only a small part of a much more pervasive dietary pattern that is fostered at an early age by children's parents and caregivers.
