PM Modi pays floral tribute to martyrs of 2001 Parliament attack

New Delhi, Dec 13 (ANI): On the anniversary of 2001 Parliament attack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to the martyrs who lost their lives during attack. Along with PM Modi, former PM Manmohan Singh, Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Home Minister Rajnath Singh, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan and BJP senior leader LK Advani also paid tribute to the martyrs. Earlier in the day, PM Modi had tweeted "We salute martyrs who lost their lives protecting the Temple of our Democracy on this day in 2001. Their sacrifices are etched in our memory". New Delhi, Dec 12 (ANI): Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar on Thursday while addressing a press conference said that he should be blamed for delaying Pakistan MPs because of which the MPs failed to meet Lok Sabha speaker Sumitra Mahajan. The visit of a Pakistani parliamentary delegation to the Lok Sabha created a flutter after the delegation members claimed that the Speaker did not meet them after giving time. The delegation comprising 12 Pakistani parliamentarians arrived on an initiative taken by the Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency and their visit to the Parliament House was arranged by Mani Shankar Aiyar. New Delhi, Dec 12 (ANI): BJP leader Kirti Azad on Friday said that the Pakistani Delegation was given a particular time for meeting with Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan that they failed to comply with. He said that any delegation needs to comply with the exact time given failing which the meeting gets automatically cancelled.
