INS Vikramaditya, June 14 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday inspired the naval officers onboard INS Vikramaditya, the largest warship dedicated to India. Modi appreciated and praised the defence forces for being the protectors of the nation and ensuring peace and safety throughout the country. He also said that the new BJP government has planned to build a war memorial for the martyrs of the country who will always be remembered. 700 cadets pass out from Indian Military Academy

Dehradun, June 14 (ANI): A total of 700 cadets passed out from the Indian Military Academy (IMA) on Saturday of which 636 joined the Indian Army while the remaining were foreign cadets. The foreign cadets are from Bhutan, Ethiopia, Papua New Guinea and Afghanistan. After the passing out parade, the 636 cadets got their lieutenant's pips. The maximum number of new officers belong to Uttar Pradesh (121) followed by Haryana (62) and Uttarakhand (57). ASF camp at Karachi airport attacked again, TTP takes responsibility

Karachi, June 10 (ANI): A day after siege ended in Karachi airport leaving at least 34 dead, heavily armed militants attacked Karachi airport again on Tuesday. The terrorists targeted the Airport Security Force (ASF) Academy at Pehalwan Goth, a kilometer-and-a-half from the airport. Following the attack, Flight Operations were suspended at Karachi Airport. Pakistan Army troops are in a state of high alert, and the troops have moved to the ASF Academy after fresh attack and all roads leading to Karachi Airport have been sealed. Union Home Ministry reviews the progress of Bezbaruah committee for Northeast people

New Delhi, June 10 (ANI): The newly appointed Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju reviewed the work of 6-member committee led by MP Bezbaruah and has sought an interim report by July this year. The committee comprising of retired IAS officers, student leaders and representatives from the northeastern states is looking into the concerns of the northeastern people residing across the country. The committee is interacting with students, professionals and various persons from Northeastern states living in metro cities across the country and seek their suggestions. Bezbaruah revealed that the committee has been looking into the possibility of enacting new laws to deal with racial discrimination.
