Historian Bipan Chandra dies at age of 86

New Delhi, Aug 30 (ANI): Prominent Indian author and historian Bipan Chandra died on Saturday morning in his sleep at the age of 86. Chandra was considered to be one of foremost scholars on India independence movement and was an authority on Mahatma Gandhi. According to family sources, he died around 6 AM on Saturday morning at his home in Gurgaon. He had not been keeping well over the last few months. Chandra taught at the University of Delhi and Jawaharlal Nehru University and was also associated with the University Grants Commission of New Delhi. He was the Chairperson of the Centre for Historical Studies in JNU. Aug 30, 2014

Kumar Vishwas on his controversy of being offered CM post by BJP MLA

Ghaziabad, Aug 30 (ANI): AAP leader Kumar Vishwas on Saturday clarified his controversial disclosure of being offered CM post by a BJP MLA post Lok Sabha results. Vishwas said that he had been offered by a BJP MLA to become the CM of Delhi if he joins BJP. He said that he had declined the offer on grounds of not being a political person.
