Government to launch vaccination drive against Encephalitis

New Delhi, June 10 (ANI): Health Minister, Dr Harsh Vardhan, on Tuesday said that government would launch vaccination programme against Japanese Encephalitis in affected states of the country. Addressing mediapersons in New Delhi, Vardhan said the vaccination programme would be taken up on the lines of pulse polio initiatives. The vaccination drive will be held in districts of northern Uttar Pradesh state and eastern Bihar province. He added Prime Minister Narendra Modi had showed concern over the recent deaths of children due to the disease. Jun 10, 2014
