The sports activities in the Bandipora district some 64 kms from Srinagar were badly affected by the non availability of a proper stadium despite having a historical sports stadium named Sher-e-Kashmir sports stadium. Other side the National Rural Health Mission was launched across the country, including Jammu and Kashmir, to upgrade health facilities and infrastructure in rural areas. The scheme has benefited people in the rural areas and it has brought down the infant mortality rate in Pulwama district. Beyond this a better transportation facility is still a problem in surrounding areas of Rajouri. Tredu village situated in Jammu city is such an example where people are still deprived from transportation facilities.
