ABVP protests over repeated parole granted to Sanjay Dutt

Mumbai, Dec 27 (ANI): Supporters of the youth wing of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) protested outside jailed Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt's residence in Mumbai to oppose the grant of repeated paroles to the actor. Dutt has been convicted under Arms Act for possessing illegal firearms. On December 21, Sanjay Dutt was let out of the prison on a month long parole after he filed an application citing his wife Manyata's illness, although media reported that she was seen attending social events. Reportedly, Manyata has been diagnosed with a tumour in the liver and a suspected heart ailment. Earlier, the 53-year-old actor had also availed a month-long furlough on medical grounds in October. A judicial commission said in its report after it was tabled in Maharashtra state assembly. Singh also said that Khobragade didn’t share information about her other flat while applying for another flat in Adarsh housing society.
