Yemen: Isis claims Aden suicide car bombing that kills 7

A suicide car bomb killed seven people outside Yemeni President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadis residence in the southern port city of Aden on 28 January, local officials and eyewitnesses said. Islamic State (Isis) claimed responsibility for the attack in a statement posted online. The militant group said the attack was carried out by a suicide car bomber it identified as Abu Hanifa al-Hollandi, suggesting the attacker was Dutch. The group said the attack had killed about 10 members of palace security and wounded about 20. Witnesses and local officials said seven people were killed in the bombing. Jan 29, 2016

Migrants return to Iraq after difficult process in Germany

Israels defence minister Moshe Yaalon said on 26 January that Islamic State (Isis) militants had been funded with “Turkish money”, an assertion that could hinder attempts to mend fences between the two countries after years of estrangement.
