Defence Expo 2014 witnesses launch of unmanned military vehicle

New Delhi, Feb 08 (ANI): The 2014 Defence Expo in New Delhi witnessed launch of an unmanned military vehicle, showing an example of extraordinary technology. A kit has been attached atop the vehicle that enables it to perform unmanned and autonomous operations even in remote areas of the country. Head of business development in Defence, Anil Kumar Yadav threw light on the various other functions of the unmanned vehicle. The vehicle can conduct various missions like anti naxalite operations, border patrolling, critical infrastructure patrolling like that of nuclear defense areas. Bird detection & monitoring radar system is another technology that can be deployed to ensure the safety of aircrafts in air. Feb 8, 2014

As winter continues in the Kashmir Valley, many diseases are on rise due to severe cold. The authorities have made sure that all hospitals, including the PHC at Wusan in Ganderbal district, are ready to face the situation. Doctors are on alert and outpatient facilities have been doubled. The state government has started to restore the old market, which was a long pending demand of the people of Poonch. The government has allotted rupees one crore and ten lakhs, and restoration work is going on at war footing. Although the state govt. claims to have improved the education infrastructure in rural areas of the state, but there is still lot more to be done. Football tournament held in Tripura to promote national integration

Tripura, Feb 01 (ANI): Thousands thronged the Vivekananda Maidan stadium in to witness the 59th National School Football championship. The event was formally inaugurated by Tripura's chief minister Manik Sarkar. All together 30 teams participated in the tournament.It was organized by the School Games Federation of India in collaboration with the Tripura government. During the event, students from different schools presented spectacular cultural programmes. The tournament provided an opportunity to players from different states to share a common platform and strengthen the bonds of National Integration. The championship commenced with the inaugural match between Punjab and Madhya Pradesh. Punjab defeated Madhya Pradesh 1-0. Selected players from the championship will represent India at the forthcoming Asia championship to be held in China. Feb 1, 2014
