Narendra Modi to take part in road show in Delhi on his arrival

New Delhi, May 17 (ANI): After securing a handsome 337 majority win for the BJP-led NDA in the 2014 general elections, Narendra Modi will arrive in Delhi on Saturday morning to take part in a road show which will be more of a victory procession by him. Following which, he will attend a meeting of the BJP Parliamentary Board at the party headquarters in Lutyen's Delhi. The BJP has decided to use his journey from the Indira gandhi International Airport (IGIA) to the BJP headquarters as a victory procession. The Delhi Police has issued a traffic advisory asking commuters to avoid certain roads that fall on or around the route that the Modi roadshow will take and security has been tightened ahead of his arrival in the national capital. Parliament takes slew of measures to ensure smooth arrival of new lawmakers

New Delhi, May 15 (ANI): The Secretary General of the Lower House P Sreedharan on Thursday said that the Parliament has taken a slew of measures to ensure smooth arrival of newly elected lawmakers in New Delhi. Sreedharan said the government has set up six guide posts at airport and three railway stations in the capital to receive the newly-elected members and facilitate their journey to the parliament or the place of their stay. He added that the posts would be operational from May 16. He also said the chief electoral officers and returning officers in the district have also been informed of details to guide the lawmakers. Tamil Nadu, May 2 (ANI): Enthusiasts thronged Coimbatore city in Tamil Nadu on April 26 for 'Aeroplus 2014', which exhibited more than 20 varieties of aircrafts, choppers and their manoeuvre. The exhibition is being organised by Nehru College of Aeronautical Science and will continue for three days. Most of the aircrafts that were on display have been brought from Indian Air Force and other foreign countries.The visitors were mostly attracted to miniature helicopter, which was designed by an aeronautical student. One of the distinct characteristics of this miniature chopper was it cannot be detected by radar which can be greatly useful for the armed forces.Some of the aircrafts that were on display included Hawker 1A, Beech aircraft, King Air C-90 aircraft, Cessna 150D, a rare Enstrom F-28 helicopter, etc. Inside the exhibition halls, visitors also got the chance to witness an international airport which was prepared in the form of a big model. There were runways, terminals, security points, radar, repair yard, flying club, parking area arranged along with the aircrafts. Engine models were also put on display including MIG-21 fighter plane engine. Aircraft accessories, aviation photo gallery and cockpit instruments were also set up in this novel exhibition.
