Subramanian Swamy suggests president rule for JandK, Politicos react

New Delhi, Sep 14 (ANI): BJP leader Subramanian Swamy commenting on the separatist pelting stones at rescue officers said that the best option for Jammu and Kashmir would be to go under presidential rule for at least a year and then have fresh elections. Slamming Swamy for his comment, NPP Chief Bhim Singh said that there is no provision for presidential rule in state and that his statement stinks of old BJP power games. Singh said that Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed worst flooding in the last many years and said that more than 1 lakh 30 thousand people have been rescued till now. He further lauded the defense and NDRF personnel for their rescue efforts in the flood-hit state. He also laid stress upon women security in police stations and said that more women shall be deployed as officers. World Ship Trust of UK felicitates retired Indian Naval Officer for opening submarine museum

Visakhapatnam, Sep 11 (ANI): The World Ship Trust of UK felicitated retired Indian Naval officer, Vice Admiral Vinod Pasricha (Retd), with the 'Individual Achievement Award' for setting up the first Asian submarine museum, INS Kursura. Vice Admiral Vinod Pasricha (Retd) while serving as Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Eastern Naval Command, saw the submarine grounded and converted it into a museum. The President of the Indian Maritime Foundation and representative in India of World Ship Trust of the UK, Commodore Rajan Vir (Retd) along with Naval officers felicitated Pasricha at the port town of Visakhapatnam.
