Varanasi, May 02 (ANI): The BJP on Friday said that the Congress is complaining like children to the Election Commission. Referring to Congress party’s complaint against BJP’s prime ministerial nominee Narendra Modi, party leader Ravi Shankar Prasad said that it is a sign of exasperation and desperation. In defence of Modi, the BJP leader mentioned Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s interaction with media after he cast his vote in Guwahati. Ravi Shankar Prasad hits back at Congress over Snoopgate investigation

Varanasi, may 02 (ANI): BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad on Friday hit back at Congress leaders Sushil Kumar Shinde and Kapil Sibal over appointment of a judge over Snoopgate investigation. Prasad stated that Congress is acting shamefully as they are on the verge of leaving the government a few days later. He particularly slammed Union Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde saying that under his leadership crime has increased rapidly in Delhi. Congress had filed an FIR against BJP’s PM candidate Narendra Modi for probe in Snoopgate scandal in which women’s phone conversations were said to have been tapped by Gujarat Police. EC holds candle light ceremony to encourage youth to vote

Amritsar, April 29 (ANI): The Election Commission of India organised a candle light ceremony in Amritsar to create awareness among the masses to exercise their right to vote during the world's largest general election. Many youngsters, majority of who were first-time voters, lit a candle each as a sort of pledge to cast their vote on April 30, when Punjab goes to polls in single phase voting. Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Electoral Officer, Ravi Bhagat, said the act of lighting a candle means that the youngsters are aware of their duty to cast their ballot.
