Yogendra Yadav gets bail after his detention for protesting outside Tihar

New Delhi, May 22 (ANI): A Delhi court on Thursday granted bail to AAP leader Yogendra Yadav after his detention for protesting outside Tihar jail against the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal. The court ordered Yadav to be released on a personal bond of Rs 5,000. Yadav said that the court did not decide on the legality of the arrest yet. Prashant Bhushan had argued that Yadav be released on personal surety or be discharged under section 59 of the CrPC because the arrest was illegal as there was no public atonement of the imposition of Section 144 of the CrPC as required under the law. New Delhi, May 15 (ANI): Scarlett Johansson has sued a French novelist for 50,000 euros in damages for his work of fiction that makes fraudulent claims about her personal life. The fictional work titled 'La Premiere Chose qu'On Regarde' (The First Thing We Look At) is written by Gregoire Delacourt, a leading daily reported.The book tells the story of a French model who looks so similar to the American actor that the book's lead male character thinks it is Johansson herself and has a series of adventures as Johansson until she is eventually found out and, in the end, dies in a car crash.Johansson's lawyer said that Delacourt's novel constituted a violation and fraudulent and illegal exploitation of her name, her reputation and her image and that it contains defamatory claims about her private life. Anti-corruption squad raids police official's residence in Bhopal

Bhopal, May 15 (ANI): A team of anti-corruption officials raided the residence of Inspector General of Police (IG) Mayank Jain in Bhopal of Madhya Pradesh on Thursday and unearthed bank documents and other disproportionate assets. The raid was conducted following a complaint filed against Jain for amassing illegal property and documents. The Deputy Superintendent of Police, anti-corruption team (Lokayukta), S. S. Udawat, said investigations are taking place. Officials also said that no jewellery was found during the raid.
