New Delhi, Dec 1 (ANI): Petitioner in the IPL spot fixing case Aditya Verma on Monday said that the BCCI is trying to brush the matter under the carpet, in interest of its former chief N Srinivasan. The Supreme Court on Monday had again question Srinivasan on spot-fixing and betting case. The Mudgal Committee, headed by Justice (retired) Mukul Mudgal, appointed to probe the IPL match fixing scam, submitted its final report to the Supreme Court on November 03. Srinivasan, who was attending an International Cricket Council (ICC) event in Chennai refused to comment when asked by the reporters about his role in the scam. Meanwhile, Justice (Retired) Mukul Mudgal said that it was best to wait for the judgment by the Supreme Court as they have submitted the report. Dec 1, 2014

Chandigarh, Nov 25 (ANI): Union Ministers Suresh Prabhu and Ch. Birender Singh filed their nomination papers from Haryana on Tuesday. The two ministers were nominated by BJP for by-elections to two Rajya Sabha seats in Haryana. Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and other BJP MLAs were present when the two filed their nominations before Returning Officer Sumit Kumar, who is also the Secretary of Haryana Assembly. Prabhu said that the two will work for the state along with working at the centre and will take Haryana to new heights. However, Singh said that he is used to the works of a Rajya Sabha MP from his past experience. The Election Commission had earlier notified the by-election to the Council of States from Haryana. India rubbishes US think-tank finding on Pakistan nuclear weaponry

New Delhi, Nov 25 (ANI): Indian experts on Monday rubbished US think-tank report on Pakistan's growing nuclear weaponry saying it was being exaggerated as every country had right to equip itself in a bid to ensure security. According to a study by the US based think-tank Council on Foreign Relations, Pakistan's nuclear strength could reach up to 200 nuclear devices in the next six years. It also said South Asia was most at risk from unresolved territorial disputes, terrorism and growing nuclear strength. SC slams ICC chairman N Srinivasan over IPL match fixing

New Delhi, Nov 24 (ANI): The Supreme Court has slammed International Cricket Council (ICC) Chairman N Srinivasan on Monday over corruption in the Indian Premier League (IPL) Twenty20 competition. The Court asked the suspended BCCI president N Srinivasan how he could own an IPL team while remaining head of the cricket establishment in the country. Meanwhile, head of the probe committee, retired Justice Mukul Mudgal, however, refused to comment on the matter. In March, Srinivasan, regarded as the world's most powerful cricket administrator, was called on by the apex court to leave his post at the BCCI to ensure a fair investigation into the IPL Scam.
