Politicos condemn MCGM's direction to Campa Cola residents to vacate in 72 hours

New Delhi, June 10 (ANI): Politicos condemned the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai's (MCGM) alternative to the residents of the illegal flats in Campa Cola compound to hand over the keys to their flats to the civic body or face "legal action". BJP leader Satyapal Singh and Shiv Sena leader Vinayak Raut said that it is unfortunate that the residents are asked to vacate their place when the monsoon is approaching. Illegal sand mining in Etawah adds to lawlessness in UP

Etawah, June 07 (ANI): Illegal sand mining has become a major issue in Uttar Pradesh. Villagers in Etawah district of Uttar Pradesh complained that sand from a natural lake in the area was being mined and at least 150-200 tractors worth of sand was being carted away from the area. Villagers also said no one has complained yet because they believe it to be a government property and they do not know whether the mining is illegal. SC dismisses Campa Cola Society residents' plea against eviction

New Delhi, June 03 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Tuesday dismissed any plea of residents of Campa Cola Housing Society against the earlier order asking them to vacate their premises by May 31. A bench comprising justices JS Khehar and C Nagappan said that they are of the view that the present petition is misconceived and hence, is dismissed. The bench also rejected the submission that at least the illegal flats be not demolished till the time Supreme Court decides the curative petition of residents association in the case. The Campa Cola Residents Association had filed a new petition to stop the demolition on the grounds that BMC be allowed to regularize the 35 illegal floors across seven buildings in the Worli society. Indian fishermen released by Pakistan thank Modi for their homecoming

Amritsar, May 27 (ANI): Indian fishermen released by Pakistan arrived in Amritsar and thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for their homecoming. Pakistan freed Indian prisoners on May 25 as a goodwill gesture, a day ahead of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's visit to New Delhi to attend Modi's oath-taking ceremony. Fifty-nine Indian prisoners, who were freed from Malir jail of Karachi, celebrated the joy of homecoming. A released fisherman, Pappu, thanked Modi for extending an olive to nuclear rival Pakistan, which ensured their release from jails.
