BMC officials reach Campa Cola Society to cut gas, water and power supply

Mumbai, June 23 (ANI): Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) officials on Monday reached the Campa Cola Housing Society to disconnect the gas, water and power supply from the illegal flats in the compound. BMC Assistant Commissioner Keshav Ubale said that four teams are employed for each function and that maximum flats will be tried to be covered. BMC reach Campa Cola Compound, residents fight eviction

But like yesterday, residents, led by women, have barricaded themselves in to stop civic teams that have arrived with cops to prepare grounds for their eviction in keeping with a Supreme Court order. BJP condemns Maharashtra govt over Campa Cola society crisis, Congress defends

New Delhi/ Mumbai/ Nagpur, June 20 (ANI): In the row of Campa Cola society crisis in Mumbai, BJP leaders condemned the ruling Congress-NCP government in the state for not taking appropriate steps. BJP leader Kirit Somaiya said that the government made laws to save the builders but did not do anything for the welfare of middle class people. BJP's Devendra Fadnavis said that Supreme Court's order had been misinterpreted but the state government could take quick action to save its people.
